Our life sciences client was expanding into a new product category and required transformation of their operational model and learning strategy to achieve success. This new framework needed to integrate an ecosystem that supported the complete end-to-end lifecycle of patient safety and regulatory reporting.

To accomplish this, the client needed to facilitate a mindset shift across the 500+ personnel throughout the affected teams, whose responsibilities would be broadened to encompass the new product and its related regulatory and safety obligations. Consequently, a significant amount of communication and training had to be executed.

Afiniti was contracted to develop a communications initiative that would leverage existing platforms to engage users in the upcoming transformation. The varied stakeholders had different communication and learning preferences, and the potentially technical, compliance-focused subject matter was not immediately applicable to all participants as the future state was still being developed. As a result, Afiniti recommended a hybrid learning approach to build awareness, engagement and knowledge across the organization, and to ultimately ensure the right personnel had the right capabilities at the right time.

  • Conducted analysis to identify and evaluate the affected persona groups, their current knowledge and communication preferences across locations and functions.
  • Developed an infotainment framework to deliver clear messaging, which audiences could access on-demand when applicable for their role.
  • Worked collaboratively with the program lead, workstreams and subject matter experts to establish the framework and content with an overarching, distinctive theme.
  • Created bite-sized episodes that aligned with milestone change interventions, building awareness, interest and understanding of the new product category and future state.
  • Leveraged established platforms to creatively communicate content without overwhelming audiences, including a centralized hub with learning accessible through a single click.
  • The initiative supported varying experience levels and communication styles, enabling users to self-navigate and choose how, when and how much they consume.
  • Designed a learning strategy for the client recommending a hybrid learning approach to support their long-term deployment of the training.
