The organization’s HR operations were constrained by outdated systems, fragmented local processes, and inconsistent employee experiences across regions. Too much time was being spent on manual, administrative tasks rather than strategic, value-driven work.
To change this, the client envisioned a seamless, data-driven HR ecosystem; one that would automate transactional processes, unify workflows, and deliver a consistent employee experience for both onshore and offshore teams. This vision became reality through a global SAP SuccessFactors implementation, forming the backbone of a comprehensive HR transformation initiative.
Afiniti was brought in as the Business Change Lead and SAP SuccessFactors Implementation Partner, responsible for driving adoption, engaging the business, and enabling long-term behavioral and operational change. Over ten months, Afiniti helped align global stakeholders, create targeted communications, and ensure a smooth transition for more than 8,000 employees across multiple geographies.
Our Solution
As the SAP SuccessFactors Implementation Partner, Afiniti designed and executed a tailored change and communications strategy that turned strategic goals into sustainable results. Our approach included:
- Building change capability: Delivered coaching and mentoring to strengthen internal change management skills, raise change maturity, and embed new ways of working into daily routines.
- Co-creating core messages: Partnered with business leaders to develop consistent, authentic communications that reflected the organization’s culture and reinforced trust at all levels.
- Creating a strong visual identity: Designed a unified brand for the HR transformation program, ensuring visibility, engagement, and recognition across the enterprise.
- Collaborating across teams: Worked closely with Group Communications, Group Learning, and the technical SAP SuccessFactors implementation partner—from early planning and scope definition through to launch—to ensure alignment and integration.
- Assessing change impact: Conducted in-depth assessments to identify affected roles, processes, and systems, which informed a targeted change and communications plan.
- Delivering multi-channel engagement: Rolled out clear, accessible messaging and learning materials across a variety of channels, including:
- Targeted personas aligned with stakeholder groups
- Executive and stakeholder engagement decks
- A dedicated SharePoint “one-stop hub” for program information and learning materials
- Explainer videos, animations, and sponsor-led messages
- Steering committee and HR leadership communications
- Interactive workshops, focus groups, and feedback sessions
- Activating an adoption network: Recruited and equipped over 25 local change champions within the first week, empowering them to drive engagement and ownership across business units and regions.
- Designing a go-live campaign: Partnered with stakeholders to co-create an engaging global launch campaign that celebrated milestones and built momentum for adoption.
The Differences We Made
Afiniti’s role as SAP SuccessFactors Implementation Partner delivered measurable results that extended beyond go-live:
- Widespread adoption: Following launch, 13,854 employees accessed the new system, demonstrating strong engagement and early adoption across global teams.
- Activated change network: The adoption network quickly became a cornerstone of communication and engagement—expanding awareness of the transformation program, key milestones, and business impact.
- Cultural alignment: Communications and engagement activities were tailored to the client’s organizational culture, making the transformation relatable and easier to embrace across regions.
- Empowered employees: The SuccessFactors Hub (SharePoint) became a trusted go-to resource with more than 20,000 visits post-launch. This centralized access to learning and support content reduced helpdesk inquiries and empowered employees to resolve common questions independently during the hypercare phase.
- Sustainable capability: Afiniti helped the client build lasting internal change capability, reducing future reliance on external SAP SuccessFactors implementation partners and enabling the organization to manage subsequent rollouts with greater autonomy.
